Mabelville: Feature Film on the Stories of a Community
Mabelville explored a connected story world around the characters and themes behind Mabel and Blood Brothers.
Mabelville was framed as a connected feature or series idea built around intimate community stories, linked in spirit to Mabel and Blood Brothers.
The original note leaned too much on pitch language. The stronger record is that this was an attempt to think through a larger story world: secondary lives, small-town pressure, private grief, humour, resentment, repair and the way people carry history into ordinary rooms.
The larger Mabelville project is not currently in active production.
