A Short Field Note From Web Summit Vancouver
KFS spent a few days at Web Summit Vancouver to see where AI tools, marketing systems, startup culture and media technology are moving.
The trip was a quick read on where the tools are going.
KFS went to Web Summit Vancouver in May 2026 to look at AI tools, marketing systems, startup conversations and media technology in one concentrated place.
No single pitch or platform defined the trip. The value was seeing how quickly AI, automation, creative tooling and business development are changing beside each other.
The Okanagan was in the room too.
We also crossed paths with Accelerate Okanagan and other Okanagan tech companies in Vancouver, which was a good reminder that the region's production, startup and marketing communities are more connected than they can look from the outside.
The practical takeaway is simple: keep watching the tools, keep meeting the people building them, and bring the parts that actually help back into production planning without pretending every new platform changes the whole job.
