What the project needed.
Create a music video that carried the open-air country feel of the song and gave Kris Anders a polished release for audiences and festival submissions.
What had to work.
The video needed to hold several visual worlds together: road movement, horses, vintage vehicles, performance texture and a social bar setting, without losing the artist's warmth or the song's forward momentum.
How KFS handled it.
KFS coordinated practical locations, classic vehicles, horses, the bar sequence and local crew while James Alton directed, produced and photographed the video.
What came out of it.
Open Road now carries festival and award recognition including a Thilsri International Film Festival special mention, California Music Video and Film Awards finalist categories, a BC Country Music Association Awards nomination, an Okanagan Screen Awards selection and two Josie Music Awards nominations.
