What the project needed.
Help the development team test a reality television concept around Jason Parkes, his wine and hospitality world, and the on-camera energy around Vintage Rebel.
What had to work.
A personality-led unscripted project has to show more than a colourful subject. It needs access, repeatable situations, supporting characters, practical production pathways and enough development material to make the format legible to potential broadcast partners.
How KFS handled it.
Bob Blumer directs and Norm Coyne / Barker Street Cinema co-develops the series. KFS provides camera work, producing and local production knowledge, filming interviews, restaurants, wineries and the Okanagan world around Jason Parkes.
What came out of it.
Development filming has captured interviews with Bob Blumer and Jason Parkes, along with the restaurants, wineries and Okanagan locations that define the series. Corus Entertainment has expressed interest, but no broadcaster is attached.
